Comms Ball 22nd March
Preparations for comms ball were nervous mad dashes from the hair salon to qiling's house, then finally to Shangri la hotel. qiling's makeup was done in a record 15 minutes i think. 10 whole minutes were devoted to curling her lashes. i realised qiling has darn long lashes (god's gift/compensation for her small eyes haha)
peh zhen hao and qiling. qiling apparently is not going to blog about comms ball so i am guessing this will be the only photo that you guys will see.
Wei Lun's pre-birthday celebration 23rd March
that shameless birthday boy came and asked me when we were going to celebrate his birthday. apparently we had to book him or he would be unavailable haha.
the gang met at bukit timah food market initially. as usual i was late, so when i came, i decided to wait for them at the HDB blocks behind. there, i met this old lady who was carrying this huge bag of groceries. she seemed to be walking with a limp and she was sort of like struggling with her bag. and so since i was waiting, i decided to help her carry the bag to her house. the funny thing was she kept talking to me in hokkien. besides trying desperately to understand her, i had to answer her in hokkien with my severely limited hokkien vocabulary. but i am guessing it doesn't matter because she really just wants someone's company. it's amazing how we could sort of understand each other. in the end, she wanted to give me her potted plant. when i declined politely, she then insisted i have some sweets before i go. i think incidents like this makes you realise how the world can be a much better place, if we just reach out to people. i can't deny that initially i was hesitant about actually approaching the old lady to help her, out of fear that she would scold me or something. lucas even said she might have abducted me or something. but at the end of the day, i am happy that i did that. i can't say i made her day, but she definitely made my day.
so anyways, this is weilun's present.
daniel can jolly well join weilun in the "i am weird" club hahaha
wii playing. i heard yanru has sore arms because of all the wii sports exercising.
