this life is suffocating me.

yesterday xinyu said the chirpy me is gone.
perhaps i was just distracted
or maybe the results are really getting to me.

today all i wanted was to rush straight home, crawl into my bed
and maybe cry
but there were no emotions within me


i am so burnt.
it hurts to move.
and i look like a lobster
all because weilun decided to lounge around in the pool and TALK instead of SWIM
now my shoulders are badly burnt.
and its radiating heat even at this moment.

cindy and i found out that old people love extorting money from students like us.
we both made our ways separately to lun's condo
but we met with similar incidents where we were being forced to give up our money
for me, i was walking into the bus queue when this auntie started screaming at me
i was quite confused at first
but i remembered her shouting"$2, $2! take bus money"
and she kept shoving her hands in front of me
i was like "what?"
and she immediately said"$1 then $1 $1.."
and you know what
i just gave it to her
and she left me alone
cindy's case was still ok
the ahma wanted change to call someone
cindy didn't have change so she gave the ahma all she had which is 20cents
but the ahma keep insisting that she wanted change.
so weird.
what's wrong with the aunties above age 50?

anyway i know that singapore has an ageing population problem but i did not know that it was this bad.
when i was on the bus 178 to lun's condo
i was surrounded by old people
so i decided to do a little test
during that 55 minutes bus journey(i sat till my bum felt numb--hey that rhymes:D)
i only saw like 3 toddlers
and a handful of people in their 30s
the rest were all old people
i tried calculating the dependency ratio there and then(since i was so bored)
but the number of aged dependents was too alarming
so i gave up
but i reckon the dependency ratio must be super high.

me and cindy caught lun's condo security guard slacking in the sauna
in her full security guard uniform nevertheless
i tried to peak into the sauna when she was about to open the door to the sauna
she almost smashed my nose
then i thought she was going to scold me
in the end
she was just very shocked that i was so tall
and she kept asking me if i was modelling
and whether i was a Singaporean!
i think later on she was trying to bribe me and cindy
(cause we caught her slacking you see haha)
she offered to let us use the sauna
she thought we were residents
i think she felt cheated when we had to ask lun(who was already showering in the guy's bathroom) for his block number

what a weird combination of people. i had more fun talking and taking photos than watching the parade. i think i totally was not paying attention to whatever was going on.

when we were queuing, i noticed a couple next to me arguing about whether i was wearing birkenstock. they argued for SO LONG i tell you. i almost wanted to turn to them and tell them that i was wearing neckermann not birkenstock but i later decided that i shouldn't botherX)

there was this motivator who was super funny. we were sitting at the edge of a sector so we were separated from this particular motivator by a fence. we noticed him right from the start cause he was dancing in a very funny way. they keep daring me to ask for his number through the fence but obviously i didn't. ANYWAY i am missing the point. the point is at the end of the parade, we wanted to take photos with our motivator(not the funny weird one). While posing we heard loud whining and shoe stomping. we turned and saw that funny weird motivator clinging to the fence whining that he wants to take photo with us too. haha super funny

i was thinking it was quite romantic for the two of xinyu's friends.(shall not name them but its quite obvious. they were only two guys and its confirm not zhimin?! and the girl is standing nearest to the guy. haha that's quite obvious already) cause that was their FIRST DATE! hehe we were trying so hard not to look at them to see if any development was going on with the fireworks in the background. i wonder whether they are together now. shall ask xinyu soon.

i think the whole atmosphere is all wrong
it isn't supposed to be like that
they are putting unnecessary stress on all the contestants especially on paul.
ok maybe paul doesn't have the best vocals
but is it really wise for them to keep repeating to the audience to "VOTE FOR TALENT?"
what is talent?
it's the ability to connect with the audience
and paul does that well
you might say its a singing competition
but hey let's face it
at the end of the day
they need someone whose albums would fly off the shelves
it's all about the X factor
not just the singing.

so we had to take bus 51
we took the bus alright
but we took the bus going the opposite direction
so we ended up at jurong east.

i was joking to sou that maybe we would see someone we know in the library
and the next thing i know
weiqi messaged me to say that she's in the library and she saw me crossing the bridge!

liwen and alycia happened to be at the library too

i was going to go in and visit them
but i had to eat first
in the end
it was raining so we just made our way to bugis.

seriously.
i think the whole atmosphere is all wrong
it isn't supposed to be like that
they are putting unnecessary stress on all the contestants especially on paul.
ok maybe paul doesn't have the best vocals
but is it really wise for them to keep repeating to the audience to "VOTE FOR TALENT?"
what is talent?
it's the ability to connect with the audience
and paul does that well
you might say its a singing competition
but hey let's face it
at the end of the day
they need someone whose albums would fly off the shelves
it's all about the X factor
not just the singing.
