it is 12.55am right now and all three of us are camping at MAGHOUSE 2 which is also known as the internet house. i will never take the internet for granted again. cross my heart.


laundry last night was horrible. the washing machine yanked two buttons off my top and the dryer took pleasure in eating up the drawstrings of my jacket.

the internet or rather lack of it is driving me crazy. i swear i am not going to try calling anyone anymore.

it is too heartbreaking.







HOLA people! it's been a busy weekend working and rushing around with the eating, cleaning and sleeping which explains the lack of updates. but fear not, i am back! ok for a while, i am only blogging till i get to wash up. after that, all of us in the house plus a few other friends are heading down to Rio Grande for Walmart and buffet lunch!

so let's do quick updates. well, we have found 2 chinese restaurants so far. that would be Panda restaurant and Dragon Restaurant. honestly, Dragon Restaurants owns hands down. (i mean, look at their names) though woeilin would be quick to say that the waiter was super intrusive in asking questions. OH THE WAITER THOUGHT I WAS JAPANESE. i shall take that as a compliment.

moving on, xinyu please come online around 8 at night, need to call you and tell you something regarding the previous post.

in any case, i am loving work here, been meeting great people (weihui, i know keow koon! I LOVE HER) and we are have 3 off days this week to travel. WHAT'S THERE NOT TO LOVE? plus i have come to terms with the lousy internet. weather here is now turning a bit warmer and we have all grown accustomed to the cold. so all's well, hope everyone's feeling lovely and warm back at home:)

it's only day 6 at morey's pier, and one week in US but i already found myself missing home more than i should.


it was a lie when they smiled and said you won't feel a thing.

being halfway across the world doesn't make it easier to see things i don't want to see. in fact, i think it makes my heart turn cold.


it's me again. and i am still freezing to death. it's starting to rain once again and we have all piled on layers of clothings in the house. none of us are cooking breakfast since no one is willing to leave their relatively warm beds. you call this summer???

anyway i realise i make an excellent housewife. i can cook, clean and take care of babies.


i feel like i am in my room where (xav just switched on the aircon at 24degrees Celsius) x 4 . where is the off switch for this whole freezing place??

it's already 8.55am and no one in my apartment is up and about. it's too cold to be up. usually everyone's up by 7am since we are all asleep by 10.30pm latest. healthy lifestyle for the win.

i am craving for Mcspicy double. mail me one please.


it's been quite some time and i am quite burnt, homesick and hungry.

the sun's shining awfully bright but the weather's as awfully cold, which brings me to a state of confusion.

the apartment's disgusting even after major spring cleaning and let's not even talk about the state of the kitchen. currently, we are surviving on microwaved food and scrambled eggs with yogurt and fruits. I NEED TO EAT CHINESE FOOD SO BAD.

and did i mention there are 6 girls in my apartment and only 1 bathroom??

haha but in any case, i am still happy to be here and hopefully things will look up in a few days time. :)

anyway if i am slow in replying, it's because the internet here is horrible. we still don't have internet for our apartment so we are currently leeching on our neighbour's.

good morning all you dinner time singaporeans! i am suffering from severe jet lag because i only managed to sneak a 2 hours sleep and i feel as awake as a teacup pig. (this is not relevant, i just felt like saying it) to kill time while not sleeping, i am watching my mtv shows which i have neglected to catch in the midst of packing for this trip.

in other words, it is a lovely morning.

i can't wait to take pictures of where i am now, because i'm in the neighbourhood of lovely townhouses that reminds me of Wisteria Lane in Desperate Housewives. how.cool.is.that?

i am missing everyone, hope everyone's having a great time back in horrible weather singapore. :D


jinglin and woeilin are sleeping soundly while i am wide awake. plus i didn't bring a towel. please kill me now.




it's 1.23am now and i am in morey's plain which is about half an hour away from the newark airport. we have just survived about 19 hours of air travel and all i want to do is get on the internet and check my facebook and emails. i want to eat curry chicken so bad.



i am presently very much in love with lady gaga, not the singer but the new kitten that xav adopted! that's one more addition to my "will miss" checklist.





greetings earthlings! in a matter of 2 days, i will be in a land where night is day and day is night. such a thought is both fascinating and scary at the same time. in any case, i am going crazy with packing. my room is an atrocious mess.

i decided to do a portrait of xavier and this is it. i love how i captured him perfectly. and because i love him, i have started to embrace his piggy lifestyle of eating and sleeping. don't blink but i think i managed to clock an impressive 12 hours of sleep today. the only time i woke up was to eat lunch. exams, you exhaust me.


at the rate i am consuming chicken essence, it's fairly reasonable to predict that i will experience massive nose bleeding by the end of this week. in any case, i am dying from flu. either way, i am going to perish.

besides dying so very slowly, i ate a vanilla yogurt and 6 IKEA chicken wings for lunch today. have i lost my mind, who am i?

ps: LOVE BACK TO BACK TUITIONS. :)

see the thing about studying is that it gives you too much time to think about things that has nothing to do with the examinations. when it's just you and your notes, you are forced to face many emotions you never want to explore otherwise. goodness, as if exams aren't depressing enough

Today my 7 year old daughter gave my 5 year old son a kiss on the cheek.

After she walked away, I saw him rubbing the spot where she had kissed him.

I asked if he was wiping the kiss off. He said "no, I'm rubbing it in so it gets to my heart faster."

Siblings that truly love each other GMH!
