Witness Raj Singh Daswal said he saw two men on a motorcycle drop a black plastic bag that was picked up by a boy.
"He ran after the men telling them 'uncle, uncle you dropped something'," Daswal told Reuters. "Immediately after, there was a huge explosion. The boy's head was blown off."
that boy is supposedly only 11 years old?
how would you feel if you are his friend or worse, his parents?
it's especially disturbing because the child's innocence is in stark
contrast to the cruelty displayed by the two men responsible for this.
no one deserves this, especially not a young child like him.
i just don't understand the motivations behind such
terrorist attacks. no political or religious reason can ever
justify innocent sufferings and deaths.

the norm
"Aren't you one who challenges the norm???"
oh hell yea, i do my part by simply being tall.
such a marvel that i am born to defy conventions.

why blue?
today as i was driving back from bishan,
i saw this ah beng car zoom past on the first lane.
you know it.
the one which looks like a sports cars wannabe with all its
modifications and of course the neon blue light beaming
through the interiors.
this time strangely the ah beng car had blue-whitish
headlights that can brighten the entire street it was
travelling on.
why is it blue anyway? why not red? or green for that matter.
i have no idea.

army guys
lucas can't wait to see girls when he books out this Sunday.
that's a desperate army guy for you haha
i am holding my breath to see his new botak look.
lucas has always been the one with the fancy hair
army was just a hair disaster waiting to happen for him that is
in his own words, apparently he looks like a 'cockster'.
not that i understand or know what a 'cockster' mean
but i think that's not a good thing!

of hot pink nails and shopping deals
it's a great feeling: being able to indulge oneself in girly frilly things.
what an awesome way to kickstart the 'holidays'.
an all girls sleepover with jjqca was a great one.
our finest one so far.
programs for the sleepover included me putting on makeup for
a guy(who shall remain anonymous) he wanted to look like
johnny depp in pirates of the carribean, erm i tried my best
- he ended up looking like a drag queen minus the dress,
drawing one of qiling's eyes, manicures and pedicures for
everyone(except me),watching gossip girl, finally collapsing on
the bed at 4am, walking up at 1pm to prepare a wholesome
breakfast of garlic bread, nuggets, campbell soup and ommelete.
we make great housewives don't you think?
shopping with xinyu immediately after. my best shopping buddy,
what can i say? ;)
she mentioned something about christmas lights and my thoughts go
back to previously unfortunate orchard road christmas walks. never again.
i don't know what motivated me to go for a pedicure with yani all the
way at tiong bahru today, but anyway Nails In Love is the best. it's
located right opposite tiong bahru plaza. They were featured in Urban before and as far as jaslyn is concerned, i trust them like i trust the bible.
which says alot really. haha
don't you think the week just flew past?

someone
such is the reality that we don't speak what we really feel
for fear of losing someone
but it's precisely cause we don't speak from the heart that
we lose that someone

caution
being stuck in between a feuding couple is like being
stuck in the eye of a storm. it's a sea of calm in the centre of a whirlwind of chaos,
but one wrong move will send you flying into the air
a million miles away.
@ 4:48 PM
there are faces behind those numbers
don't you think that news of bombing attacks have become
a common sight in our news? death toll rates have since become
numbers that blend into the backgrounds, one that does
not render a second glance. we have forgotten that behind
those numbers are actual human lives.
the fact that they are happening so far away from us makes

chiewyee!
basically what we have here is a dreamer.
someone out of touch with reality.
when she jumped, she probably thought she'd fly.
