liting's house 3 girls -liting liwen me no adults what do u think we did? we made a pizza! so cool right:) after getting our ingrediants from giant, we went to take the 66 bus at jurong east interchange. i didn't bring my ez-link card with me on that day so i paid 55cents coins instead. As i waited for the machine to churn out a ticket, the bus driver looked at me and said " u must pay more" to which i replied "but uncle i'm 18 years old" "where's your bus pass?"the uncle snorted. "Er i never bring that's why i am paying cash?" i snorted back. " CANNOT so BIG already must pay more!" the bus driver insisted. " BUT I AM 18!"i protested. In the end, i was forced to pay more than i was actually required to. what is it with bus drivers? Just because I look mature doesn't mean i have to pay the adult fare. It's not my fault that I look older than I am, so why must i pay? I am only 18 years old and under the stupid law or something i am only required to pay the stupid student fare! bleah haha actually i was not really bothered by it cause it happens to me ALL the time. anyway back to pizza making. there's something about liwen that i must say. she has this hidden meanie /bossy /naggy auntie spirit within her that struggles to the surface when she enters a kitchen. all she did was just bossing me and liting around. when we were doing something, she would nag at the side. "Not like that, you must......no no u must do this first.......blah blah blah nag nag nag" while we were slogging away cutting the potatoes and stuff, she was standing at the side, giving directions and orders! how auntie can she be? our pizza turned out really well and it was surprisingly nice to eat. Finally i can cook something that turns out edible. ( even cooking maggi mee is a difficult task for me) so i guess i am not that bad after all. maybe cooking is my hidden talent. one that is waiting to be discovered.(: Wednesday, June 28, 2006 @ 4:19 PM
doubts in her heart but no answers ever came she needed some sort of a sign anything she shuts her eyes and starts to pray hands clenched her heart hoping tears falling she didn't want the occasional letter sure it made her happy but that happiness was short-lived she wanted something that she could hold on to...forever I can't believe what is in front of me The water's rising up to my knees And i can't figure out How the hell i wound up here Everything seemed okay when i started out the other day Then the rain came pouring down And now im drowning in my fears And as i watch the setting sun I wonder if im the only one [Chorus] Cause everyobody tries to put some love on the line And everybody feels a broken heart sometimes And even when i'm scared i have to try to fly Sometimes i fall But ive seen it done before I got to step outside these walls I've got no master plan to help me out Or make me stand up for All the things i really want You had me to afraid to ask And as i look ahead of me Cry and pray for sanity [chorus] These walls can't be my havenThese walls can't keep me safe here Now i guess i got to let them down Cause everybody tries to put some love on the line And everybody feels a broken heart sometimes, yeah Even when i'm scared i have to try to fly Sometimes i fall But i've seen it done before I got to break out... I got to break out... I got to step outside these walls Love outside these walls I feel my heart breaking But its a brand new day Im going down Im stepping out Im stepping outside These walls (I've seen it done before.. i'm walking on, i'll walk it off, oh i'm moving on) it was time to move on one last look just one holding back tears she walked away away from it all maybe one day they would cross paths again but for now she dare not dream for that to happen how's that for an ending no one died mavis:) i want to complain why is it that when i ended my econs paper i got scolded by so many people even before i even opened my mouth? haha i know its my last paper but wait for me to suan you all FIRST la people will change you can't tell them not to... ![]() i shall tell u a story. there was once a girl living in a house. the house was huge and there was a beautiful graden surrounding the house but this compound was isolated from the rest of the land u see enormous walls stand tall and menacing separating the girl from the rest of the world no one ever bothers to come visit . the walls look too intimidating you would think the girl would be happy she had everything in that pretty big house of hers but that was not what she wanted she wants freedom she wants to see the world she does not want to be restricted by the walls it was suffocating her then one day, a stranger came by and knocked gently on the door the girl obviously heard the knock she was so happy for the first time she had a visitor as she was about to open the door her family stopped her. "you can't just open the door to anyone you know.. you can only open the door to people you have known for ages" "why?" the girl wondered to herself if you never open the door you never know what lies beyond that don't you think? "something bad might happen we must not open the door" the family insisted. the girl nodded. the family happy that the girl was listening to them walked back into the house the girl made sure they were out of view first before she opened the door. she was careful to not make any sound what she saw almost took her breath away. this was her first time looking beyond those walls surrounding her house and she was amazed. the stranger approached her the stranger put out one hand and the girl hesistated before reaching out they went around the world exploring and discovering the beautiful sights but the girl knew that all these happy memories would come to an end. and how true that was. the time came when the stranger had to leave. the girl said nothing but inside her heart was breaking she went back home tired her family was overjoyed to see her. they thought they had lost her. the girl tried to smile but she realised she couldn't she wasn't sad that she was home but rather she found herself missing that stranger. the thought of not ever seeing that stranger again pains her not a day went by without her standing at the closed door hoping to hear a knock... to see the stranger's face again at first the family sympathised with her but they soon grew tired of it they demanded that she stop doing that "wasting you life away wishing for something to happen when you know nothing is ever going to come out of all these waiting" her family shouted to her but the girl held on to her faith she believed that one day the stranger would come back then one day she received a letter from the stranger can you imagine her happiness? she was very happy indeed they exchanged letters but the letters stopped coming after a while despite that, she continued waiting and waiting and waiting a few days gone by with no signs of any letter whatsoever so the girl decided to take the initiative and send a letter to the stranger instead (much to the objection of her family once again) and yes the stranger replied but like the first time it ended the girl did not know what to think of that she only know that she was very very tired so she went to sleep and the next day she woke up and felt a sense of emptyness one that she never felt before she keeps thinking to herself were her feelings for the stranger even real in the first place? will time make her forget whatever that has happen? will she be able to accept the reality and move on while she still can? will she ever look back and remember happy memories instead of the painful ones? to be continued... haha i think this entry is damn random. anyway just read this as a story do not try to relate this to anything. if not i will just delete this entry:) Thursday, June 22, 2006 @ 9:22 PM
![]() ![]() i have the solutions to ALL problems! *grins madly*i think i should just ask someone to whack my head really hard or maybe i should just go bang my head aginst the tree=) then i will have amnesia and TADAH! no more worries, problems, sadness whatever:) yea maybe i would do that XD ps. i am not depressed. seriously i am not. my mood just fluctuates. i think i am going mad HAHA you won't know how i feel unless you are me so please dun judge. the problem about starting and ending CT in just two days is that you have less time to study. and you have to like cram so much information in your head for two different papers which have totally no link. blah BUT after two days, its like blinking your eyes twice. CT will be over before i know it. AND when that happens. i am GOING TO GET A LIFE. i am going to make changes to myself. BIG changes. changes that will make me feel better about myself. i will do a makeover inside and out. then people will look at me and say "chiewyee's different" and i would smile to myself=) alrighty time to mug. what can i say. i am a stupid, foolish and way too emotional dumb dumb. i seriously did not realise that i was constantly making myself believe (and trying desperately to make others believe) that i am living in lala land where all wishes are dreams and all dreams come true. well now i know WISHES may be DREAMS but DREAMS can never come true... there i said it. damn reality is harsh. i cannot deny that i was dreading the 30 hour famine camp BUT i am sooooo extremely, tremendously GLAD! that i went in the end. there was a pathethic turnout of only 8 or 9 njcians at the camp and 7 came from A01( annie qiling ruth rhoda cherly and guanyou) ruth informed us that they were going to split us up into groups just like orientation. so the possibilty of the A01 famine gang staying together was like one in a million? indeed after registrating we realized that most of us were separated from one another. lucky me and guan were in the same family kiowa while cheryl and rhoda were also in the same family. something funny happened when we were coming back to sajc from lunch at ps. the A01 famine gang + alfred were standing in a circle on a train and qiling was leaning against the non-active door. i guess after a period of time, the train door could not stand the sheer force of her weight and surrendered! it was so scary. the door suddenly cracked opened. we were all so horrified. the opening ceremony was graced by Dr amy khor which i think was quite weird since we were in potong pasir and they invited a pap MP? after the ceremony we had this simulation where a disaster had struck and we were suppossed to reunite with our families. so everyone went to report to their assigned locations. i was given the unfortunate situation of being a floater with no where to go so i just followed guan to evacuation centre one. the queue was way long. at times, there will be "papa"s walking around holding a cardboard with the respective family name, trying desperately to find his family. after a super long time. my papa came! with the kiowa family 4 cardboard in his hands. haha but sadly guan was not in my family. so i left guan and joined my still incomplete family. i was glad to see a familiar face in my family. calista was familiar cause she was in liwen's sajc first 3 months class. so we started talking. after searching for very long we finally found all our family members . a family normally consisted of 13 people but my family was rather small cause two was pronounced dead(they did'nt turn up for the camp) ok this is my family tree: papa-brandon mama-jade brothers-jeremiah(now affectionately known as ghost) -kian soon sisters!-chiewyee -calista -carmen -brenda -sze ching -anastasia -mei jie oh my african name is Naruyaa Kiowa. families had to try to earn money and build a new shelter. there were 'jobs' like prostituition(can earn $12) , folding 50 cranes $5 , separating a bag of red and green beans $5 and many more. so obviously we decided to prostitute ourselves not once but twice in the whole simulation. we only stopped after two times because that was the maximum number of times allowed. our papa and mama and some sisters also "got aids" in the process. Haha and we resorted to stealing people's things and selling the stolen things. my family was so immoral! the second day,we went to tampines to collect newspapers. it was so fun. me and calista paired up to cover all the top floors and we always end up with the most amount of newspapers compared to the rest of our families. successful future gurung gunis next time;) i think its very funny when i already saw a few stacks of newspapers in the house and when i approached the owners to ask for newspapers, they said they don't have!-.- my family was very efficient so we had two hours or more to sit around and bond. we played the murderer game which was super fun! ghost and i keep getting killed or suspected then killed. so being the "ghosts" we had no say! so we could only talked to each other. HAHA oh that's why jeremiah got his ghost name. his face looks too scheming. i think our whole family is quite blur we always kill the wrong person or the narrator also mess up all the people who are suppossed to get killed. anyway my family says i am a good medic/healer in the game cause i healed many people! but when i was a detective i killed many innocent people. HAHAHA ok after coming back to sajc, we had to clean the campus. our papa was very tired and he left to go for church while our mama ran away to find her friends. so we become orphans overnight. since we had nothing to do. we sat down and played games again. we also had this "say something interesting about yourself" so hilarious. i told my family my height, that i was taller than my elder brother and i showed them my scar on my chin! i LOVE my family we bonded so much. being nice little orphans we also mass messaged our papa brandon to wish him happy father's day. I love Kiowa family 4 Saturday, June 03, 2006 @ 12:39 PM
