i am back from my cruise holiday!

anyway facebook has an astonishing number of updates as usual.

lo and behold!

found the picture that xinyu was telling me about during the cable skiing trip.

no wonder. it's such a glowing photo :D


for being the best friends in the world, thank you.

i think it surprises me how far we have come.

after all the years,

we somehow manage to find a way to remain close and tell one another

everything.

having the two of them is like having two toll-free helplines.

very crucial for my mental stability :)


alright steady now, have to stop swaying left and right. not on the cruise no more.


the new jurong point is awesome.

i used to be able to navigate the mall with my eyes closed and hands tied to the back.

but now i can't do that anymore!

because the new extension is so overwhelming.

it's so unsettling to see starbucks, harris, pretty fit, beetle bug in jurong point itself

makes me giggle uncontrollably in fits of excitement.

finally, a place deserving to be called a SHOPPING mall.

and it's only 3 minutes walk from my new house!

mum is worried, i can see why haha

anyway batam cable ski tomorrow!


the course was surprisingly easy and it was all over before i knew it.

not surprising on the other hand, i am not quite good at it?

might be the fact that i forgot to bring my specs though.

yes that must be it. hah


yay now we are certified air pistol shooters!


since weilun made up a list to his SOP secret exchange partner,

i am going to do the same and make things easier for my secret exchange partner as well!

YOU ARE SO BLESSED if you got the holy task of buying a christmas gift for me

because i truly believe that it's super easy to buy me a gift.

since our budget is $20.

i will give you a very strong hint.

Hotpot Culture!

honestly, we were trying to save money but we ended up spending $17 for

dinner at hotpot culture over at marina square.

but it's really good. we were lured over from our original choice of thai express after

a whiff of their soup.

sitting outside alfresco style was refreshing. just that the wind got a little too strong later on.






I NEED TO STOP SHOPPING.
but i can't help myself really.


after dinner, i popped by to pick up the birthday boy, Sam to novena.

the few of us drove in two cars (mine and kiansiong's) to Global Sounds Cafe.

i love it there.

to celebrate the occasion, we had white wine and fries.

haha i just realised the weird combination .

the night was spent playing cards at first, but then it transformed

into a magic show by zy.

hahaha i was the only one entertained by the magic tricks.

but the guys were entertained by me being entertained so there you go.

i am very entertaining ;)

but seriously zy's serious face cracked me up so much

i found myself laughing even before he started doing anything hahah


:) at this point where the physical pain from all that cycling is a long forgotten memory

i am able to look back and laugh at all the fun we had.

and just maybe bring myself to say that we ought to do it again.


the highly anticipated event that was a tad overrated.

the stupidest thing was that we only arrived at fort canning at 10 plus.

do note that the event was ending on 11pm. haha



before the event, we queued for one and a half hour just to eat dinner

at ashton over at the cathay.

xinyu being crazy over the twilight book series started to act all zombie-like haha

i can't believe i just lost to a ...rock.

like what daniel always says: bullshit.

after so long, i still find myself at the same place where i had been

and it's not a very ideal situation to be in.

things are supposed to be different.


I am in excruciating pain.

my butt hurts especially.

but it was rather cool to cycle in the rain. it came to the point where

you weren't sure whether you were sweating or simply drenched.



then there were the terrible numerous upslopes.

weihui's brother or basically any guy beside me at that point

would be telling me to cycle faster

to which i would give him the "what do you mean? I AM cycling faster."

but you know what totally made those upslopes a little more bearable?

it's knowing that what goes up, must come down.

and my all time favourite gravity in action

meaning you can speed right down, with the wind rushing around you.

one word. exhilarating.



a walk around the cemetery was surprisingly not spooky.

as usual, the very brave us (weihui, xinyu, me and weihui's brother) lead the pack

never mind that almost the entire time, i kept my head down.

anyway there seemed to be some sort of unexplained light that flashed

for a mere instance while xinyu and weihui's brother were walking back

towards the crowd during a game.

i assumed that it was weihui's brother cheating by switching on his torch.

but he later told me that he didn't switched it on at all.

and i wasn't seeing things because everyone saw the light.

but it's ok this is one of the times when ignorance can actually be bliss.










prize presentation at bukit batok was hilarious.

we were sitting on the floor

eating pratas in the dark.

i am sorry but it just kind of reminds me of something ahaha.

no more pictures after this because i was obviously so tired, i wanted to die

i think the last words i said to weihui and xinyu were,

'i think i just permanently disabled myself"


nontheless, i am glad i went for this night cyclng.

engineering guys are really hilarious

i found myself laughing half the time,

the other half was spent praying for strength.

i was telling God that if he couldn't make me cycle faster

at least make the guys cycle slower hahaha

weihui's brother is not that bad in the humour department as well.

Female 50 Gorgeous People at Zouk.

a pity xinyu couldn't join us. but nonetheless it was a

fun night of people watching!


weihui and i are excited because we were asked to be photographed while we were

queuing to get in. (don't roll your eyes now. let me be!)


once inside, while squeezing through the throngs of people,

i got tapped on the shoulder, to which i turned and looked into a very unfamiliar face.

what's bad about this was that she was looking expectantly at me.

there was a pause.

she waited for me to recognise her while i waited for her to introduce herself.

finally she did. " stacey!"

gosh you should have seen my look of confusion.

i am sure it got worse every minute i stood there gaping at her.

but i did eventually managed to stop and told her that i was sorry but i didn't know her.

i wonder who was more embarrassed?

me the one who was mistaken for or her the mistaken one.


anyways, since there was only weihui and I.

we managed to squeeze our way to prime standing ground.

that's right. right smack behind the judges, centre front.

how very excellent:)
oh for those of you who haven seen me since the exams,

i cut and dyed my hair in a fit of stress.

haha kidding it was a long time coming decision.

would you just look at number 26! my hot favourite of the night.






ah the start of many happening things to come.

this holiday is getting really interesting ;)


A FASHION NAZI??

1. someone who believes it's their duty to attempt to correct any fashion styles or mistakes that they observe .



i don't suppose the guy who called me that meant for it to be an insult.

but this rather unexpected tag has been ringing in my ears ever since.

i am horrified. mortified. appalled. (you get the idea)

i blame this on daniel.

if he didn't teased me/ provoked me, i would not have said "you disgust me" to him.

as usual, the "you disgust me" phrase is a joke.

it's like how i will always say " i hate you"

never once will i actually mean it.

but that stranger actually thought i meant it

and he started sniggering!

of course, he proceeded to speak with a heavy american accent, "that's so harsh!"

(he reminds me of some theatrical actor who exclaims in the middle of a play and poses for dramatic effect)

in other words, it was very uncalled for.

then he started asking me for fashion advice.

after i chose the grey pants over the black ones,

he turned to weilun and daniel and said,

"she's such a fashion nazi!"

it didn't help that after i pretended that i wasn't bothered and shopped around as usual,

i could see from the corner of my eye that he was talking about me to his friend.

so there you go, a day in the tragic life of a "fashion nazi".

Hotpot Culture!

honestly, we were trying to save money but we ended up spending $17 for
