when there is an -able family outing
there are three top rules to follow
1. never bother going early. all of us are always late
2. expect blurness especially from me and lily
3. we shop like mad:) lily spent $86 in just one hour? woa

we went to this shop in heeren that sells vintage dresses
the lady was so obsessed with selling the dresses to us
she kept saying the dress looks nice on lily when its looks bleah on her
and she just went into the fitting room even when lily said she wasn't ready!
and she seemed to have something against me
i wasn't even going to try on any of the dress
but she kept saying that i am very skinny so i cannot wear them
once is fine
but she said that 3 times!
it gets rather offensive after a while you know haha

in the end, piaky and lily got their prom dresses from isetan
i hope no one have the same dress as them haha
6 days to prom!
my mum wants me to buy another prom dress! gasp
sometimes she's just so weird :)




in life
some good things just happen once

the insurance agent was like "MUGGER MUGGER!!"

and why do people presume that those who are in the arts stream would eventually be in the faculty of arts and social science?
that's not true!

i need to sit down and think of what i really want to do with my life.

i went for a job interview at the science centre!
haha jinjen and i are applying for the post part-time visitor services assistant
i was separated from jj during the interview part.
so i was interviewed with two guys
and one of them worked as a lifeguard before! hahahaha

i hate to say this
but we are still waiting for them to call us!

anyway if i do get the job.
DON'T VISIT ME THERE!
(yes that means you weilun and yes guan you too)
i don't care if you are there to "support" me
you are to keep a 500m distance away from the science centre at all times:)

meanwhile i am trying very hard to enjoy my freedom before i work
last thursday was spent shopping with my dear xinyu
both of us lost so much weight during the A's
so naturally we are on a mission to gain weight (at least i am)

last sunday i went out with jinjen
prom shopping as usual
found nothing in the end (as usual)

tues was sort of like a tai tai outing with a very weird combination
cindy jacelyn and i went out to have waffles and lunch at gelare :D
jacelyn is really funny.
while everyone's busy finding jobs and going shopping
she was either sleeping or singing away her time
lol so "dilly dally"
i think that caught on and cindy and i just called her dilly dally the whole day.
anyway have you noticed that the crowd is missing in the orchard area?
which is good
cause you don't have to queue at the fitting rooms
and you don't have to jostle and die just by trying to move around

see how empty topshop is?
cindy really knows me very well.
she knows what i am thinking about, what i like, what kind of clothes i just love to wear...

yesterday the literature students finally ended.
so i went to meet them with a cake (for guan's birthday!)
i don't think guan was surprised at all.
haha we had so much cake left that we started to distribute them to people around us at far east
being typical suspicious singaporeans, no one took the cake we offered
apparently kiasuism only applies to sales and queuing
so jaslyn and annie tried the japanese students from some international school and they didn't want the cake either.
maybe its us. haha

i bought my prom dress.
don't ask me how its like
i don't really know how to describe it
i am just relieved that i found my dress
yay:)

you have two post prom activities.
option 1: watch a late night movie, then proceed to qiling's house for a sleepover
option 2: you are broke so no movie for you, proceed straight away to qiling's house
so basically, just go qiling's house:)
it will be like chalet just with more food.

guan you wants to age but he refuses to accept the fact that he's 18 now.
haha embrace the fact that you are eighteen guan.
its weird when your friends are only starting to turn 18
but in around one month's time, i am turning 19!

you forget why you were even upset in the first place

the bad thing is when the same thing happens
you start getting hurt and upset all over again
because you weren't healed in the first place

on a lighter note.
the bus i took today broke down in a very dramatic way
right in the middle of a road nonetheless
first there was a bang
then came the smoke
the smoke was so thick that the people at the backseats had to move away
then the bus driver just opened the door without saying anything
we started alighting
and while alighting,
we saw some green liquid flowing out from the bus
annie and i were hysterical
we thought the bus was going to explode and we just ran far far away from the bus.
liwen johnathan and khairi were still quite calm
i suspect its a failed b o m b attack:D

what hurts the most was being so close
having so much to say
and watching you walk away and never knowing.

i know there's this unwritten rule that we can't talk
but i still can't believe that we have to act like strangers.
i tried. i really tried but i can't pretend that i don't know you.


somehow i expected this period of A's to be different.
i thought i would be calm and prepared for anything thrown my way

i certainly never expected myself to come home from the first paper, dazed and feeling like a total wreck.
and that phone call.
it was like the whole world just came crashing down on me
and i just sat there and cried
times like this, you wonder what you have done wrong to deserve something as devasting as this

the worst thing was the fact that you could not do anything about it.

i desperately needed time to just sit there and think
my grandpa was dying
i wanted to be at the hospital
but i could not be there

i had to study
i needed to
but what you want and what you need can be so conflicting at times

everytime i managed to calm myself down and actually started making some progress in my revision
another call comes
the constant reminders of my grandpa's situation was painful
at that time, i told myself two more days
and i would be at the hospital
i just needed two more days

my grandpa passed away yesterday when we were doing our maths paper two
remember the heavy rain?
the sky was crying
i would too if i had known

my mum said at least now my grandpa doesn't have to suffer
he couldn't eat
he couldn't talk
and he was in constant pain
death can be so cruel but yet merciful in a way.
