so how's school? it's been back to school for 2 weeks now. 2 weeks of happy 3 day week. what with mondays and fridays off (smiles gleefully) but we all know all good things come to an end. tomorrow is torture round 1 and millions more to come. yes tomorrow i have school. two jam-packed tutorials in fact. hell starts from 10am (10 freaking am. i bet kian siong is rolling his eyes just about now -yea yea i know you have to go teach at 6.30am but still have some sympathy over here) all the way till 1pm. then it would be ok since i am meeting my honey weihui whose birthday is impending in about a week's time. we are having lunch together in school. my first lunch in school after two weeks! i think i know why i don't feel involved in school. it doesn't take a genius to know that i am not even around in school long enough to say 'hello nus, i would like to know you." i go to school only if i have to. and i leave school once i am allowed to. since having a car means that no time is wasted while waiting at bus stops for the bus 96, try desperately to squeeze up the bus with fellow students and get down at clementi where i will meet more students, i am guessing i don't really meet alot of nus students?? but that's just a wild guess. (you are welcome to disagree.) at this point, friends like wanzi or xinyu would automatically start their lecture about how i should get a cca. the point is i actually like leaving the school right after lessons. i breathe easier outside the invisible boundaries of nus. it's liberating. i cannot fathom how anyone can actually live in hostels. because that's like 24/7 in school. lessons-school. no lessons-still school. my mind is screaming just at the thought of it. and cca means another responsibility. i shirk responsibility when i can! why on earth would i knowingly court extra responsibility? it adds burden and i don't like to be tied down by some additional thing. and i am the kind whereby i either do something extremely well or i don't do it at all. so there will definitely be pressure placed on myself by myself which is not good. anyways so school's good. minimal would be the word actually. good in the minimal way or minimal in a good way haha. and i do have friends. i don't go around making them but when they come along, i am actually quite capable of holding a conversation. also, i have been a tad better at being disciplined studywise this semester. off to a good start i would say. hopefully my new attitude stays. keep your fingers crossed :) |
