a flurry of updates ok i am back. here's a sketchy pictorial update of what i have been up to. well not a very accurate description but it will have to do. :) here we go, brace yourself. garden tech and vivo outing Dec 11th a lovely trip to visit the garden fair with qiling's parents and steal some fertile fertilizers in the process (let's just say my mother is very pleased). jin jen was expecting a romanticized setting. she was sorely disappointed. i was honestly just hoping we won't stay there for long. jaslyn was late.        yea jas this is for you. haha i know after so long. i don't think you want it anymore.   the ride back to qiling's place from vivo was HORRIBLE. it was raining so heavily, i could not see a thing and i keep getting bad directions. at one point, we thought we were making our way to Jurong Island instead of Yew Tee. eventually we (actually) took 1 hour and 45 minutes to travel from harbourfront to yew tee. enough said. HORRIBLE!! Queen Of Queens pageant Dec 15th only wanzi and i went, we were not even there to support anyone. come to think of it, why were we even there? and we went straight home after the thing ended!  i thought the one with the cap was pretty but she didn't win anything i think.  that guy was super cute! hahaha  oh my gosh look at the horde of photographers  the winners  Cindy's back from Boston Dec22nd her flight came in around 11.30pm? there was frantic waving from the girls even before we could actually see cindy.  chinghow and hanyong came in santa caps and carrying a box of candy canes.        only left the airport at around 3 plus am? it's funny how everyone managed to get a ride home. so many of us are driving right now. really weird. Christmas Eve Dec 24th I drove down to qiling's house first, dumbed my stuff there, helped qiling with her make up and went off to find xinyu. actually xinyu came to find me in a cab to pick me up(i refused to drive to orchard during the festive season) the cab fare jumped for about 2 bucks while waiting for me.   xinyu's such a sweetie pie. she bought us all xmas presents! and they were all very thoughtful gifts i must say.    jiahan got perfume       weihui got Lucy from Peanuts. she loves them you see.     and mine was a very shocking...     balloon dog! the exact same one which my mum gave away without telling me and i was so mad with her that one. haha i really can't believe she actually went around to find the exact same one! and she bought me hershey cookies and cream kisses (which i love). i swear at the rate she's going, she should turn into a guy, grow taller(at least 176cm) and be my boyfriend. so sweet! (:                                 xinyu's good friend, fuquan came over to pass her something.   that xinyu dared him to take the santa cap from the poor snowman standing in one corner minding its own business. and he actually did it. jiahan and i were dying from the embarrassment. we tried to pretend that we didn't know them.     poor snowman...   i find it pretty amazing that we could take so many photos in a few hours and with only four people. then after that, went back to find qiling and jas(they went caroling). when we got back to qiling's house, the clock struck midnight. which obviously meant Christmas was here. so the two of them started singing chirstmas songs to qiling's parents.   we decided to put on masks together      Christmas dinner Dec 25th with wanzi and ziyi at jack's place. no photos because ziyi was severely underdressed! he thought we were going some kopitiam to eat. great dinner if you overlook the fact that wanzi puked after we left the restaurant. there goes 25bucks. right down the toilet bowl. some random outing Dec 30th with xinyu and zhimin after church. we managed to bump into weihui and zhen xiong. so they joined us for dinner. very weird crowd but enjoyable as usual:)  i remember this day very clearly because that was a good hair day! hahaha anyway service that day was amazing. :) |
