a series of unfortunate events
when it rains, it pours
oh man i swear i have been cursed. it seems that something unlucky MUST happen to me every single day since last friday? i' m sure you would be thinking i am exaggerating but i assure you i am not:)
i mean what are the odds when
- i was already running late, queued for ages to draw money, speed-walked down to the basement of jurong point to change some malaysian ringgit, the person tells me that I have to change at least S$50 because they don't have small change.(it's a conspiracy to make people change more money!) So I made my way all the way up to the ground floor, back to the atm. queue again, maneuver through the crowds. when I reach the foreign exchange counter, I saw a long queue. (just 5 minutes ago, there were NO ONE at all!) so I tried to calm my down and catch my breath while queuing. finally, my turn, changed my Sing dollars and off i went running to take the train to NUS
- i arrived at clementi interchange with 30 minutes to get to NUS. Breathed a sign of relief because that's more than enough(or so I thought! haha) i waited and waited, and waited annnnnddddd waited. 30 minutes became 20 then 15 and finally 0 minutes! panicked for awhile. sms-ed Liting that i would be late, and if the bus comes then, i would kill the bus driver. after a grand total of 35 minutes waiting time, bus 96 finally arrived.
- i sat at the seat just behind the rear door. few stops later, i started to smell this really bad smell. it was sort of toxic. and it was coming from the back wheels. seconds later, you could see smoke. the situation got worse with every stop the bus made. at that point, i was thinking, "ok i know this bus is going to explode but can it explode AFTER i get down at my stop?" obviously, with my luck, the bus driver finally decided to evacuate everyone 3 stops away from my stop. it was quite dramatic actually, everyone was running away but i was quite insistent on staying(for awhile), but i decided i don't wish to die so horribly so i got down. and i ran all the way with my heavy bag and all.
- upon reaching, i realised i forgot to bring liting and ailing's tops for the trip! i felt so guilty!
- boarded the bus, hit my head, dropped my water bottle, got my bag stuck in the seat. it was really bad so much so that the guys were asking me to sit down and they would pick up all my stuff instead
- was supposed to have an open book geography test on tues. took a taxi to school. halfway there, i realised i left my file of notes back at home. so i made the taxi driver go all the way back to my house, grabbed my file, then to NUS again.
- the open book test was horrible. hadn't written an essay since A levels which is a long long time ago! couldn't finish the essay as expected. there goes 20% of my final grade.
- then yesterday, was late again, so i had to take a taxi. almost got myself killed when crossing the road. the taxi driver drove me all the way down towards the direction of tuas(you know where ocs is??) instead of making a left turn and heading straight to the AYE. i already told him to take the AYE! then when we finally got onto AYE (from PIE-.-), he started to pick up speed at an alarming rate. at one point, he turned to ask me if i would freak out if he drive fast(realise taxi-drivers like to ask me that), i said no. so he drove at the speed of 140km/h. i swear i was flying. and the car was shaking so very badly. that was the point where i REALLY said to myself "omg... i am going to die today...."
i think i used up my month's supply of bad luck. which is good in a way. hope i don't fall while walking on campus!
diving trip entry soon:) FREE hair perm tomorrow. oh boy i foresee myself never having to spend a single cent on my hair in future.

chiewyee!
basically what we have here is a dreamer.
someone out of touch with reality.
when she jumped, she probably thought she'd fly.
