	Thursday, January 04, 2007 @ 10:29 AM xmas 06 christmas was spent with jj and qiling. i met up with jj first since that poor qiling was working till 11pm. the moment we stepped into orchard road we regretted going there at all it was so crowded i was not walking i was being pushed along against my own free will however along the stretch outside ngee ann city i was not pushed around much and that's because i could not even move i was just trapped within the crowd and i felt a little uncomfortable since jj and i were separated(she was a few heads behind me) i think the tourists there were really rude and inconsiderate there was no space to move yet they find the need to shove and push and make their way forward through the crowd bumping and scratching you in the process i never would understand why parents would bring their little children to such a crowded place how can the children even breathe in the first place? and then there are the possibilities of the child getting lost, kidnapped, trampled on....... tilt your head see the crowd? no space at all no space at all! we wanted to cross over to paragon but it was pretty much impossible so we settled with just taking a picture of the view across the street:) somehow its like a must to take a photo at the takashimaya christmas tree when we arrived there every possible space in front of the christmas tree was taken up that really amused us but we managed to squeeze in somewhere in the end a close up of the tree:) i think i love this photo the most! the heeren area was much less crowded (thankfully) as it was almost 11 pm we made our way to cityhall to meet up with qiling and so we waited and waited..... finally she arrived! you can see how happy samsoon(i mean jj) is! hahaha we decided to head back to heeren when we reached we heard the crowd at heeren counting down i looked at my watch and it said 11.50pm i was still telling qiling they were nuts for counting down ten minutes before 12am but apparently my watch was slow at the stroke of midnight it was madness everywhere i thought i was in a battlefield where foam was used as weapons foam was flying everywhere we were lucky to escape the first wave of foam becuase we were crossing the road but danger was lurking ahead. we wanted to go to the balcony at heeren meaning we had to pass the rowdy gang right in front of heeren for the first time we experienced fear in orchard road! haha i kept telling qiling to relax and just walk naturally BUT that qiling just had to dodge, squirm and finally scream i tell you she was just asking for it! her scream sort of awakened all the foamy beasts because they all turned to us and started spraying enthusiastically i was still looking at this guy in shock as he started spraying the entire front of my top when i walked through it all i saw that qiling who got us in trouble in the first place clean WITHOUT a spot of foam at all! jj and i on the other hand had foam in our hair, on our clothes, our bags.... after cleaning up we went into the balcony there's something about the atmosphere there that instantly calms you i think samsoon possessed her that night she was not herself haha we wanted to take the last train at around 1 plus am so we rushed all the way to the mrt station along the way we successfully avoided a group of guys who suddenly sprayed foam at the crowd but right outside the mrt station we got sprayed again this time also owing to qiling's suspicious behaviour and again she escaped without a trace of foam the train ride home was really funny i was sitting between this guy and qiling the three of us all happen to be looking at the reflection suddenly you could see qiling leaning over and she said to me (she thought she was whispering but trust me she wasn't): i like the guy next to you. me: that was quite loud and the both of us just kept laughing uncontrollably meanwhile if you look at our reflection you could see the guy was trying to act as if he didn't know what we were doing but it was pretty obvious that he heard qiling's confession he even leaned to whisper to his friend we saw yanshun on the train turns out he was going to alight at yew tee too so he offered to send qiling and i to qiling's house along the way we were having trouble with our heels it was really painful walking in them and he said we behaved as if we were drunk we were blabbering and laughing and we were walking in a zig zag way it was just the heels really we were not drunk at all yanshun was still telling me not to wear heels anymore since i am tall enough Oh which reminds me i have always been used to strangers noticing me because of my height but it was the first time that a stranger just walk towards me and comment right in my face "Damn you are tall" ok back to yanshun sending us home he offered to piggyback qiling after qiling casually joked about it!
