its good to be home;) i woke up feeling extremely tired. i will never understand why some teacher just want to torture us by getting us to attend make-up classes immediately after our return from malaysia.
anyway i really learnt alot during this trip. it was a chance to get away from everything. i was glad that i had time to sit down and really talk to jinjen about my issues. yea, issues. i always seem to have issues about guys. after talking to JJ!, everything seemed to be alright somehow. she's a great listener and she gives great advice too. i'm glad she was my partner on the bus and roommate. though she really frightens me at times with her messy and unkempt hair. i love staying at the Swiss Garden Resort Kuantan! firstly the room is nice and clean. And the bathroom is BIG. haha can squeeze like 11 people there? our( jj, jaslyn and me) room had a sucky view though. other people can see the pool or other nice thing but the only things we can see are the dustbins and the sweeping uncle.
oh oh ms ting totally transformed into someone completely different. she was actually... SMILING. can u believe it? she smiled so much that i was beginning to suspect whether any alien was tring to impersonate her or something. haha ok i am being ridiculous.
we got to visit alot of ulu places to get to see different physical landforms and stuff. the visit to the limestone cave was quite memorable. the limestone hill with the cave was actually a buddhist temple. we had to climb up the narrow steps which was really really steep. we were like walking vertically upwards. so scary! it doesn't help that some railings were really shaky and i have this fear of height. apparently we took only 7 minutes to reach the top cave. being inside the limestone cave was unbelievable. it was really humid within the cave. we were sweating and quite shaken( at least i was) after climbing the thousands of stairs. there were bats inside the cave! but we could not really see them. the second cave was super dark. actually they had lights inside the cave, but apparently the monk told us that the lights were stolen by someone. i am totally disgusted when i heard this. why would anyone do this. stealing from a temple!
ok lets talk about the food there. BUFFET buffet and more buffet. the first night we were so surprised with the food. there were So many nice food. the desert choices were especially exceptional. there were chocolate moose, pudding, tarts, cream puffs, cheesecake, chocolate cakes?! we all felt so pampered and we just kept stuffing our faces. the only downside was that there were alot of mosquitos. I remembered saying that perhaps the restaurant deliberately released the mosquitos so that no one would stay long. that way we won't eat much of the buffet!
haha see the chicken wings in the picture above? i decided to help everyone take the chicken wings so i went to the BBQ place and asked for 9 chicken wings. the chef took one look at me and asked: 9 chicken wings??? i nodded, temporary confused with the look of disbelief on his face. then it struck me~ he thought i wanted those chicken wings for myself! haha i quicky explained that i was taking them for my friends.
the bus ride from kuantan to KL was HORRIBLE! i remember being in a coma-like sleep on the bumpy ride. i woke up occasionally to get down the bus to either pee or eat.
upon reaching KL we went to some communication tower and then to times square where we did our shopping. times square is quite a cool shopping mall. its huge with i think like 10 levels? and it has a roller coaster within the mall itself. the whole buiding keeps shaking. shopping for me and jj were mad dashes from shops to shops. *typical situation: jj: argh there's nike! me: arghhhh!! -proceeds to run across like some madmen much to the amusement of on-lookers
i must admit the service in malaysia is vastly different from service here in singapore. the people there are sincerely helpful. even the salespeople in their shopping malls are much more friendly than those in Singapore. however, the salespeople tend to follow the customers everywhere they go. it can be quite irritating but i guess this behaviour is rather inevitable. amy was telling me that when she and atiqah split up. the salesperson stopped and pondered about who to follow. haha guess she had to choose the one that looked more inclined to steal something.
things lost on the trip:- my pencil - it dropped and floated down the river when i was busy tying the measuring tape to a pole in the middle of the river
- my jacket- location still a mystery
digusting things that occured: - the KL Grand Season Hotel had polluted tap water that was brown in colour yucks
- the visits to the toilets
fun!: - playing cards
- shopping at times square
- going to amy and atiqah's room for a chat
- playing games on the bus on the way home
things i bought: - earrings RM4
- shades RM10
- nike bottle RM19
- espirit cap RM49.90
- chewing gumRM1
- malaysian version of CLEO RM6.10
things i will miss: - sleeping in a hotel with friends
- the food?
i wish i was not so irritated with someone. otherwise it would have been a lovely trip. i'm glad to be back;)

chiewyee!
basically what we have here is a dreamer.
someone out of touch with reality.
when she jumped, she probably thought she'd fly.
