the US embassy VISA interview i hate that my interview time was 9am and i was still at speedwing's novena office at 8.55am. so i just had to ask the person if it would be okay for me to be late. she just looked at me and said, "it's a VISA INTERVIEW." ok i got it. i wished she would lie to me though and say something like, "oh yea sure, people arrive late ALL THE TIME. no biggie" BUT NO. and so my misfortunes continued as i drove up to the embassy and realised that they do not provide parking lots and i had to park at the not so nearby hospital. the only good thing that happened today was that i made a new friend! she's really cool because she's a SQ stewardess and she was very very nice. i especially like her when she said she thought i was studying in the US because my ENGLISH IS GOOD. points to the lady yo. in any case, the whole process was draining, confusing and suffocating. when i finally emerged from the high security facility 2 hours later, i felt like i was released from prison... only to find out that my parking fee was $8.15 while serving my brief "jail stint". this USA work and travel thing is proving to cost me both financially and emotionally. |
