stars in your eyes                                         so it's been a month from my 21st birthday party and finally i feel the need to blog about it. to say that it has been the most memorable birthday would be an understatement. certainly memorable in more ways than one. there was so much love and sadness at the same time. love because i knew that my friends are so incredible. i never expected them to go through so much effort to dress up in the wacky costumes that they did. and i certainly never expected them to have my back no matter what. it was a difficult night for me but i never once felt alone because i knew, behind the scenes my friends were doing all they could to make things right. i must say there were at least two times when i almost lost it. but the important thing was i held it in. and i am sorry to jaslyn and piaky who were trying to comfort me but i shrugged them off. i knew if i allowed myself to be comforted i will crumble. and then there will be no turning back. i would like to think i grew strong after all that. there are many many people to thank. xinyu for being the most amazing friend who is ALWAYS there to listen. wanzi for being the most protective friend qiling for feeding me with gossip and never failing to cheer me up weilun for being himself, funny and silly. daniel for TOTALLY knowing the situation and giving great advice weihui for being such a sweetie piaky for being such a dear friend even though we don't meet each other much zhimin for being my servant that day, buying this and that for me cindy for being the greatest long distance friend ever. ps: I LOVE YOUR AUDREY HEPBURN LOOK THAT NIGHT :D totally gorgeous jaslyn for being so cute that even my cousin thought you were the prettiest that night. and of course for assuring me all the time :) jin jen for doing the birthday card with one particular bikini photo that got into my mum's hand and she showed it to my relatives! haha and for cracking me up when i least expect it mavis for being the most creative. awesome work on the greek costume! and of course for being there all the way till the next day. yanru for donning the greek costume! you have been a great friend throughout the years :) su sian, jiahan, alycia and liting for heading down to the party even though you guys didn't really know anyone there. my fantastic childcare centre collegues for being so sporty and fun! jinglin and shiying for being my closest university friends. all the fun during lectures:D and all those who couldn't make it but still send their love, THANKS :) |
